Accounts Payable Analyst – Payment Services

About the role

As an Accounts Payable Analyst within Newmont's Service Enablement Group, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements. Your work supports stable financial operations, strong internal controls, and positive supplier relationships across the company's global footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments for goods and services in line with contracts, policies, and service level agreements.
• Validate invoices and reconcile them against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in partnership with Procurement and cross‑functional teams.
• Review Travel & Expense (T&E) claims for policy compliance and accurate reimbursement.
• Support month‑end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting inputs.
• Monitor performance metrics such as payment accuracy, cycle times, and backlog aging.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX compliance.
• Manage ServiceNow tickets and user inquiries, ensuring timely resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, payment processing, or T&E functions.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• SAP (MM/AP) module.
• Expense management systems such as Concur.
• Ariba procurement platform.
• Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office suite.
• ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and SOX internal controls.
