Travel Technology Product Specialist

About the role

As a Travel Technology Product Specialist at BCD Travel you will act as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring travel agents work efficiently and with fewer errors. You will collaborate with operations, designers, and developers to define, document, and deliver enhancements to our GDS and point‑of‑sale platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and define detailed requirements for new or modified travel technology solutions.
• Perform GDS hit/scan evaluations, assess conflicts with existing standards, and create JIRA tickets for development.
• Collaborate with designers and developers, providing necessary artefacts such as PNRs and profiles.
• Schedule and manage deliverables, evaluate timelines, and articulate risks and opportunities.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence, produce release notes, and keep the product roadmap up‑to‑date.
• Support point‑of‑sale and robotic applications, and configure account, market, and application settings as needed.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and process‑reengineering abilities.
• Experience handling medium to high‑risk projects and extensive travel reservation processes.
• Excellent command of English.
• Hands‑on experience with GDS (preferably Amadeus) and familiarity with travel industry workflows.

Required skills

• GDS – Amadeus
• Programming experience using GDS tools
• SQL (knowledge preferred)
• JIRA for requirement tracking
• Confluence for documentation
