Travel Agent Supervisor

About the role

The Travel Agent Supervisor leads a team of travel agents who provide end‑to‑end travel services for Cargill’s employees worldwide. The role ensures that bookings for air, hotel, and ground transportation are accurate, compliant with corporate policies, and delivered with high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute medium and high‑complexity travel sourcing activities across air, ground, and related categories.
• Monitor and improve service performance metrics such as accuracy, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage relationships with travel management companies, airlines, hotels, and other suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support regional and global sourcing strategies and implement cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Oversee work schedules and coverage plans to maintain continuous travel support, especially during peak periods.
• Make personnel decisions for direct reports, including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to align service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in travel operations.
• Minimum 1 year of directly related work experience; preferred 3 years.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Experience with travel sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS), preferably Sabre.
• Strong understanding of travel booking processes and service delivery standards.
