Transportation Support Specialist – Freight Operations

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position is based onsite at Amazon's SJO11 building in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Transportation Support Specialist works in the Amazon Shipping Operations team to resolve daily freight disruptions and ensure carriers and drivers receive timely solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide carrier and driver support in a contact‑center environment, researching issues and setting appropriate expectations.
• Restore trailer and truck schedules when network disruptions occur.
• Adhere to a 9:00 am‑6:00 pm schedule, including breaks, and support overtime during high‑volume peaks.
• Use internal systems (WIMS, FMC, YMS, AAP) to gather data, execute daily tasks, and generate reports.
• Write and maintain standard work documentation for internal and field teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate data‑driven insights to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Background in customer service, call‑center, transportation, or supply‑chain roles.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Legal authorization to work in Costa Rica.
