Technical Sales Manager – Food Ingredients

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth in the food ingredients market. The role combines food science expertise with commercial acumen to deliver tailored ingredient solutions to manufacturers across dairy, bakery, meat, beverages and confectionery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities across food ingredient categories.
• Monitor market trends, analyse competitors and propose growth strategies.
• Participate in trade shows, technical seminars and promotional activities.
• Provide accurate forecasting, sales reporting and pipeline tracking.
• Deliver technical advice, conduct product trials and demonstrations for customers.
• Build and maintain strong technical and commercial relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Support customers in complying with food safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure and post‑sales support.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals and coordinate with supply chain and management.
• Track orders, deliveries and collections in collaboration with logistics and administration.
• Record all commercial activities in the company’s CRM system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science or a related technical field.
• Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, food applications or customer technical support within the food ingredients sector.
