System Engineer – Apigee & DevOps Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer with deep expertise in the Apigee platform and DevOps practices to ensure the reliability, security and performance of our API ecosystem. The role involves designing, implementing and maintaining API management solutions in a cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure Apigee X / Apigee Hybrid, including keystores, truststores and KVMs.
• Maintain SLA, health and well‑being of the API platform infrastructure.
• Design and implement traffic control, API security and custom policies using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, etc.
• Standardize CI/CD pipelines for API management tools and automate deployments.
• Develop API proxies, REST APIs and convert SOAP services to REST (or vice‑versa) on the platform.
• Manage DevOps tooling such as Harness, GitLab, GitHub, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud and Linux servers.
• Define and enforce development, testing, release and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, risk management and deploy cybersecurity measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with Apigee configuration, management and testing.
• Proven experience in DevOps environments and cloud platforms.
• Ability to review, verify and validate software code.
• Strong focus on automation and continuous improvement.
