Support Engineer II

About the role

Amazon Advertising is looking for a Support Engineer II to help external customers build business‑critical applications on the Advertising API. You will troubleshoot technical issues, work with developers to ensure compliance, and create automation to improve the developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, and resolve system alerts and API‑related issues.
• Develop tools, scripts, and automation frameworks to reduce manual operational workload.
• Provide technical guidance, write code samples, tutorials, and technical articles for the developer community.
• Lead root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and drive architectural recommendations.
• Mentor other Support Engineers and lead knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in technical support or software development.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for REST API‑based services.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems.

Required skills

• REST API development and integration.
• Programming/scripting languages such as Java, C++, Python.
• SQL database querying.
• Linux/UNIX command‑line proficiency.
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies.
• Data analysis for trend identification and operational improvement.
