Senior Technical Architect – Enterprise Integration

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for a Senior Enterprise Integration Architect to lead integration design across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Integration strategy as the company modernises its application and integration platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design integration solutions and estimate implementation costs for Enterprise Integration (EI) projects.
• Support API‑led design methodology to enable reuse of APIs across the landscape.
• Participate in integration strategy for new and existing applications, especially during cloud migrations.
• Review and approve project integration technical architecture and monitoring strategy.
• Guide platform upgrades, migrations and continuous improvement of architecture standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years developing on integration platforms.
• At least 3 years architecting integration solutions using APIs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep experience with Azure Integration Services (APIM, Logic Apps, ESB, AppInsights, Observability).
• API design and documentation using RAML or OAS (Swagger).
• Integration protocols such as SFTP and EDI.
• Understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, iPaaS) and DevOps/CI‑CD practices.
• Knowledge of networking, security (identity management, authentication, encryption) and infrastructure concepts.
• Experience with MuleSoft or similar enterprise integration platforms (nice to have).
