Supply Chain Assistant (Mission Costa Rica)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support its Mission in Costa Rica. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Head of Resources Management Officer, the assistant will help manage procurement, logistics and asset management functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage resources management functions for the Mission, including procurement and logistics activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Support the asset management process and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with IOM/UN procurement and logistics rules and procedures.
• Collaborate with Headquarters and Administrative Centres on supply chain matters.
• Prepare clear and concise reports on procurement and resource requirements.
• Establish realistic resource requirements to meet IOM operational needs.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with four years of experience.
• Experience in procurement, logistics and working with vendors or service providers.
• Familiarity with asset management processes.
• Experience with IOM/UN procurement and logistics rules is an advantage.
• Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) is required.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
