Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer III

About the role

The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer III will drive improvements and corrective actions for components sourced from external suppliers. You will provide technical support in supplier selection, develop material acceptance criteria, and monitor supplier performance to address manufacturing yield issues and field failures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities.
• Generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures and train inspectors.
• Develop or source inspection tools and equipment.
• Create component specifications, test protocols, monitor testing, and issue qualification reports.
• Analyze incoming material defects, drive corrective actions, and communicate issues to suppliers.
• Review design specifications and provide feedback on component quality and manufacturability.
• Investigate field failures related to supplier materials and develop corrective action plans.
• Support new product development by reviewing supplier and component documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemical, Industrial, Electronic, Biotechnology, Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality assurance or similar role.
• ASQ certification preferred.
