About the role

The Financial Accounting Supervisor will lead the technical and operational supervision of client accounting processes for Pecunia Consultores. The role combines hands‑on accounting expertise with team leadership to ensure accurate monthly closings, tax compliance and high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise monthly accounting processes and close procedures for assigned companies.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, tax filings and financial statements.
• Organize, allocate and monitor the work of the accounting team.
• Control timelines, delivery dates and quality standards of all outputs.
• Identify delays, errors, risks and improvement opportunities in a timely manner.
• Respond to client inquiries and observations with professional judgment.
• Prepare progress reports for Pecunia management.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members.

Required profile

• University degree in Public Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience supervising accounting processes and teams.
• Full knowledge of the accounting cycle, monthly closings, financial statements and tax obligations.
• Familiarity with IFRS (NIIF) and Costa Rican accounting regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, organization and result‑orientation.
• Clear, respectful and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
• Capacity to work under pressure, handle complex situations and propose timely solutions.
• Proficiency with accounting software and related technology tools.
