Sr. Project Manager / R&D (Electrophysiology Catheters)

About the role

Heraeus Medical Components is looking for a Senior Project Manager / R&D specialist to manage electrophysiology catheter projects and their activities according to the project schedule. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and direct project activities needed to achieve project objectives, working with the project team to meet the schedule.
• Take ownership of the project and provide the breadth of project and technical expertise needed for execution.
• Communicate complex information clearly to customers and other stakeholders.
• Lead early development project activities for quoting to secure new projects, and lead new projects from initiation to hand-off to operations.
• Understand project needs, risks and timing to meet competing schedules.
• Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements under Heraeus Medical Components' Quality System.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related technical field.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience, including previous experience as a project manager in the medical device industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, mainly between Minnesota, USA and Costa Rica; valid passport and visa required.
• Preferred: 10+ years of engineering experience, PMP certification, and prior medical catheter experience.

Required skills

• Strong experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets or others.
• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish.
• Problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.
