Value Stream Manager

About the role

Heraeus Medevio, a medical technology group within the Heraeus Group, is looking for a Value Stream Manager to lead and optimise the entire production value stream. The role ensures efficient production, training and industrial engineering, so that customer products are manufactured to the agreed resources, KPIs, cost, quality and specifications and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise production efficiency, minimise waste and uphold quality standards through Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Control the annual and monthly production budget, monitoring OEE, OTD, efficiency, variances, absorption and scrap in a quality and safety environment.
• Manage manufacturing processes, products and standards for the business lines under responsibility, in line with budget, quality standards and EHS regulations.
• Align resources and internal services with customer service, warehouse, logistics and planning to meet customer agreements.
• Implement and monitor strategies, policies and production plans, and drive continuous improvement projects before and after product introduction.
• Develop the team, provide training according to customer requirements and maintain an organisational environment reflecting company values.
• Improve energy performance and implement an energy management system across processes to reduce the carbon footprint.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration; a Master's degree (MS) is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations in manufacturing companies, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in catheter production is desirable.
• Excellent bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication.
• Proven experience supervising engineering-level professionals and leading continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
• Experience managing budgets, expenses, CAPEX and inventory needs.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, variances and absorption.
• Experience monitoring production plans and adapting to changes.
• Advanced computer proficiency.
• Preferred: SAP, Project Management Professional, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP).
