SQL Server Database Architect – Remote

About the role

As a SQL Server Database Architect you will redesign a critical internal application database, moving from heavily nested stored procedures to a modular, config‑driven rules engine. You will work closely with .NET and Blazor developers to improve performance and plan a migration from on‑premises SQL Server to Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, high‑performance SQL Server databases.
• Refactor existing stored procedures into modular, maintainable code.
• Develop a table‑driven rules engine to centralize sizing and configuration logic.
• Collaborate with .NET and Blazor developers to enhance backend integration.
• Ensure data integrity, security, compliance and best‑practice standards.
• Plan and support migration to Azure‑based database services.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in database architecture or engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server.
• Hands‑on experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience working with Blazor for front‑end and back‑end integration.
• Proven track record in database performance tuning, indexing, execution‑plan analysis and normalization.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
