Software Quality Engineer (Manual Testing)

About the role

An experienced Software Quality Engineer is sought, focusing on manual and exploratory testing of web applications, browsers, desktop environments and mobile devices. The role suits someone who is analytical, adaptable and proactive about improving testing practices and protecting the end-user experience. There are 31 openings.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute and maintain manual test plans, test cases and exploratory testing scenarios.
• Perform cross-browser, desktop and mobile testing to validate functionality and usability.
• Carry out functional, regression, integration, system and acceptance testing as appropriate.
• Analyse user stories, acceptance criteria and dependencies to find coverage gaps and risks.
• Document and track defects with reproduction steps, evidence and business impact, then validate fixes and run regression tests.
• Prepare test data, record results and communicate quality risks and progress.
• Work with developers, product owners and other teams to clarify requirements and prioritise testing by customer impact and risk.
• Recommend improvements to testing approaches, workflows and quality practices.

Required profile

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software QE experience, with strong manual testing expertise.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, clear documentation and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of manual testing, test design and defect management.
• Hands-on cross-browser, desktop and mobile testing; functional and regression testing.
• Desired: Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Postman, basic automated testing, CI jobs and accessibility awareness.
