IT Applications Engineer II

About the role

This individual contributor helps turn business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, assists in implementing and maintaining business software, and supports systems integration testing and user acceptance testing. The role sits within the IT Engineering job family and uses DevOps, Waterfall and Agile practices to build resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work assignments on time, following procedures and collaborating across functions to solve business problems.
• Pursue self-development and share knowledge with coworkers and customers, and respond to feedback.
• Design, develop and deliver software solutions, supporting technical recommendations and code architecture standards.
• Implement and support new or packaged systems and applications, including incident support and troubleshooting of non-complex issues.
• Support component integration testing (CIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Execute unit testing and review business requirements and functional specifications before coding.
• Write and review technical specifications and documentation, and stay current on industry trends through reading and training.
• Work with IT teams and vendors so that code follows architectural standards and design patterns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS or a related field, or at least two years of software development experience.
• Preferred: one year of systems analysis, engineering tools (bug tracking, source control), matrixed organization experience, and technical documentation writing.
• Preferred: experience with Scaled Agile, Copado, Omni Studio and Salesforce Vlocity.
