Software Engineer

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize business workflows that improve operational efficiency and integrate critical applications. You will work within the Workflow team to create dynamic, context‑aware solutions that support the global data engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve business process workflows in Jira Service Management.
• Map current processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop optimized solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand workflow needs and deliver integrations.
• Provide training, support, and documentation for end‑users.
• Monitor workflow performance and recommend enhancements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in workflow engineering, business systems analysis, or software engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Jira and Jira Service Management
• Microsoft Power Automate, Salesforce or Microsoft Fabric (preferred)
• Workflow automation using APIs, webhooks and plug‑ins
• Jira Query Language (JQL)
• Python, React, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Practical knowledge of AI tools and responsible AI use
