Software Developer I

About the role

The Software Developer I is an entry‑level technical contributor in the GBS Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence. Working under senior developers, you will help build and support digital solutions that simplify business processes and improve employee experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy automation and application solutions using Python and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Write scripts, applications, and integrations that automate business processes and consume APIs.
• Build applications and workflows with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Work with enterprise data using SQL and platforms such as Snowflake.
• Support testing, debugging, monitoring, production support, and root‑cause analysis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and provide end‑user training.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow development standards, security practices, and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in software development, automation, or data (including internships or academic projects).
• Foundational programming skills in Python or another modern language.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and software development fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
