About the role

Walmart Centralamerica is seeking a Software Engineer II to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑scale, AI‑enabled platforms. You will work on high‑impact customer‑facing solutions that combine GenAI capabilities with robust, distributed architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Drive architecture, design, and implementation of highly available, scalable systems at enterprise scale.
• Lead complex system development while staying hands‑on with prototyping and coding.
• Balance long‑term scalability with short‑term delivery through architectural trade‑offs.
• Ensure operational excellence using CI/CD pipelines and reliability best practices.
• Apply GenAI and distributed‑systems expertise to create customer‑centric solutions.
• Collaborate with product, business, and UX teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, React, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD processes.
• Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise‑scale, AI‑driven solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
