Site Reliability Engineer II

About the role

Join Akamai's global Site Reliability team to help design, implement, and support the infrastructure that powers our internal developers. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to keep continuous integration pipelines and artifact storage reliable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and applications in distributed UNIX/Linux environments.
• Monitor production applications and respond to incidents.
• Automate tooling and processes using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Identify and implement improvements in systems management and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Artifactory storage systems.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with UNIX/Linux production environments.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible or SaltStack.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
