Security Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Security Architect to join Akamai’s Professional Services team. You will help global customers protect their digital assets by designing, configuring and deploying Akamai security solutions in a fast‑changing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical integration of Akamai security solutions, including configuration, debugging, testing and go‑live activities.
• Analyze customer traffic and systems to design security implementations that meet specific needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams to define scope, timelines and technical designs.
• Support ongoing implementation and provide proactive and reactive security assistance.
• Participate in training initiatives to continuously develop security expertise.

Required profile

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer‑facing role supporting enterprise software or professional services.
• Strong understanding of internet fundamentals, DNS, routing and protocols such as HTTP and TCP.
• Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and experience with web application security.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work with remote, global teams.
