Shipper Success Associate, Amazon Freight

About the role

Amazon Freight is looking for a Shipper Success Associate in San Jose, Costa Rica, to join the Billing & Payments team. The role reviews invoices and billing information so that charges are accurate and match agreed-upon rates, handles shipper billing inquiries, processes billing and payment requests and helps resolve billing disputes. It is a full-time, permanent, non-remote position based in SJO11, with no relocation benefits; candidates must be legally authorized to work in Costa Rica. Selected candidates will work five days a week in the office, Monday to Friday 9:00-18:00.

Key responsibilities

• Review invoices and billing information to ensure charges are accurate and match agreed-upon rates, flagging discrepancies for correction
• Respond to shipper billing and payment inquiries with timely, accurate information on invoicing, charges, surcharges and payment policies
• Process and track billing and payment requests, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up within SLAs
• Escalate complex billing disputes to senior team members with clear context and supporting documentation
• Maintain shipper billing records, case logs and internal tracking systems
• Help compile data and reports on billing interactions, dispute trends and team performance metrics
• Support internal knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures for billing and payments
• Take part in team meetings, training and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Fluent speaking, writing and reading in English
• 1+ year of customer service or back-office roles in corporate environments
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Preferred: experience in transportation or supply chain, billing, invoicing or payments, and in metrics-driven or SLA-based support environments

Required skills

• 1+ years using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Preferred: CRM tools such as Salesforce and web-based meeting applications
