Program Manager, Supplier Development, Global Procurement Sustainability
Amazon · San Jose
Job description
About the role
Supplier Engagement & Development (SED) within Amazon's Global Procurement Sustainability organization is looking for a Program Manager to lead its Digital First Strategy and own the One Supplier Journey program. This is the technology backbone that lets SED engage, develop and recognize suppliers at scale across Environment, Social Responsibility, Supplier Development & Impact and Community Impact. The role turns fragmented, manual supplier processes into a single, scalable, self-service experience.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Digital First Strategy: define and maintain the multi-year technology roadmap that consolidates supplier-facing systems into the One Supplier Journey, sequencing delivery across communications, development and recognition.
- Serve as SED's named business owner/co-owner of the One Supplier Journey platform and embed supplier requirements in cross-organizational technology roadmaps.
- Translate strategic priorities into product requirements: Supplier for Good (S4G) Badge dashboard, S4G Academy, consolidated communication queue, supplier-voice feedback loop and an AI-powered Supplier Advisor.
- Partner with GPT, the Ada and Quick Suite teams and Amazon Learn to design integrations such as Supplier Connect, Supplier 360, EcoVadis/Avetta and Contract Central, defining build/buy decisions and phasing.
- Govern the cross-pillar content and curriculum model, and define, instrument and report metrics on participation, adoption, learning completion, badge progression and supplier sourcing conversion.
- Build playbooks, SOPs and intake frameworks that let the journey scale across categories and regions without proportional headcount growth.
- Act as the main point of contact for supplier-engagement technology questions and drive alignment across procurement, sustainability, learning, legal and technology partners.
Required profile
- 2+ years of program or project management experience.
- 1+ years of supply chain experience.
- Experience owning program strategy, delivering end-to-end and reporting to senior leadership.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of process improvement experience.
- Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, HR, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management or marketing.
- Knowledge of procurement practices such as category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auctions and contracting.
- Executive presentation and writing experience, and stakeholder relationship building.
