Planner II - Supply Chain

About the role

Abbott, a global healthcare company, is hiring a Planner II for its Vascular division, based at the Zona Franca Coyol location in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The role ensures that products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, to the right quality and ready for delivery to customers. It is an administrative shift.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain supply models based on demand forecasts.
• Own and manage DC inventory and delivery, and maintain product parameters such as SKU target inventory levels.
• Take part in cross-functional teams focused on order management improvements.
• Work directly with the division, engineers and operations on product commitments, exception management and new product introductions.
• Prepare planning and manufacturing execution reports and ensure planning KPI metrics are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in planning and scheduling (planning resources, balancing process flow, inventory control, process indicators) and manufacturing (process control, problem solving, continuous improvement).
• Advanced command of English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel knowledge (functions, pivot tables)
• Preferred: teamwork, decision making, problem solving, communication and persuasion

The work involves prolonged sitting and standing, keyboard use for most of the day, and working in a clean room environment. The base pay is not stated.
