Senior Visual Designer – Remote (Costa Rica)

About the role

Smartsheet is looking for a high‑caliber Senior Visual Designer to join its Brand Studio. The role is remote‑eligible within Costa Rica and reports to the Creative Director. You will drive brand‑forward visual concepts, mentor junior talent, and own end‑to‑end design projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and evolve visual assets that strengthen the Smartsheet brand identity.
• Lead project execution, review work of junior designers and contractors, and ensure world‑class quality.
• Develop flexible design systems, component libraries, mood boards, comps, and style guides.
• Own full‑cycle projects from concept through final delivery, presenting work to stakeholders.
• Manage large‑scale timelines and help less senior designers allocate time and resources.
• Explain design decisions clearly, guide stakeholder feedback, and keep work aligned with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with technology and project management teams to meet creative, strategic, and technical objectives.
• Identify and commission specialists such as artists or photographers when needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mid‑to‑senior roles focused on marketing collateral, brand systems, and digital strategy for technology companies.
• Strategic foresight with the ability to see the big picture and propose solutions within company processes.
• Proactive ownership, anticipating stakeholder needs and taking responsibility for outcomes.
• Exceptional multitasking skills, handling several complex projects without losing detail.

Required skills

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
