Senior Travel Planner – Luxury Travel

About the role

The Senior Travel Planner will join Costa Adventures, a DMC and luxury travel specialist, to design and manage bespoke itineraries for high‑end travelers and groups. Working in a hybrid model from Costa Rica, you will combine on‑site collaboration with remote planning to deliver seamless travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage customized luxury itineraries, from flights and accommodations to tours and special requests.
• Consult with clients to capture preferences, prepare detailed proposals and quotes, and convert inquiries into bookings.
• Liaise with suppliers, local partners and service providers, overseeing reservations, confirmations and any changes.
• Proactively resolve issues that arise during travel and maintain accurate records in booking systems.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to continuously improve client experiences and meet performance targets.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Proven experience in senior travel planning, DMC or luxury travel agency environments.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines.
• Self‑managed, reliable and comfortable working in a hybrid setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in travel management and itinerary design.
• In‑depth knowledge of Costa Rica destinations.
• Experience with end‑to‑end travel arrangements, including flights, transfers and tours.
• Familiarity with digital booking platforms, CRM systems and standard office software.
