Senior Travel Agent

About the role

The Senior Travel Agent will manage complex domestic and international travel itineraries for Cargill employees, ensuring compliance with corporate travel policy and delivering a high‑touch service experience. This position acts as a subject‑matter expert for travelers and internal partners, driving continuous improvement across the travel program.

Key responsibilities

• Book and manage multi‑segment, VIP, and high‑touch travel itineraries worldwide.
• Maintain accuracy and quality standards for all travel bookings.
• Monitor travel trends, identify service gaps, and propose corrective actions.
• Promote preferred suppliers and maximize program benefits.
• Leverage supplier agreements to achieve optimal value and traveler experience.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
• Ensure travel documentation, communications, and guidance align with corporate standards and policies.
• Resolve moderately complex travel issues independently and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years managing complex, international travel itineraries.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• 5+ years of corporate travel experience (preferred).
• Experience supporting a global travel program.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with GDS systems (Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo).
• Expertise in online booking tools such as Concur and GetThere.
• Experience with travel reporting, quality assurance, and process improvement.
