Senior Tax Specialist - EMEA Indirect Tax

About the role

The EMEA Indirect Tax Analyst supports the preparation, review, analysis and execution of indirect tax compliance across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role contributes to accurate reporting of VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales Lists, withholding taxes, tax payments and other country-specific obligations, and supports compliance monitoring, tax audits, data analysis and process improvement. It works closely with regional tax teams, Finance, Global Business Services and external providers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data mining protocols to extract and consolidate tax data from ERP systems, SAP, tax authority websites and other sources.
• Validate and cleanse large datasets to ensure accuracy for tax filings and audits.
• Use data-driven insights to identify inefficiencies, redesign workflows and drive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation and performance monitoring.
• Create dynamic reports and dashboards for tax compliance and performance monitoring.
• Partner with tax analysts, finance and IT teams to align data strategies with business objectives.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects involving tax technology and analytics.

Required profile

• University degree or advanced coursework in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 2 years in a quantitative/analytical role and 2 years in taxes business directly.
• Advanced English speaker and knowledge of the local regional language.

Required skills

• Proven experience with business intelligence tools such as KNIME, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.
