Senior Systems Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to own our enterprise SaaS portfolio and act as a backup administrator for Microsoft 365. The role is fully remote and ideal for a systems generalist with deep experience in SaaS administration, identity management, automation, and enterprise networking.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of SaaS applications such as Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, FreshService, DocuSign and Dropbox, including onboarding, configuration, licensing, renewals and retirement.
• Integrate SaaS solutions with Microsoft Entra ID using SAML, OIDC, OAuth and SCIM, and maintain Single Sign‑On and automated provisioning.
• Provide backup administration for Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender, Purview) and support related projects and incidents.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API and low‑code/iPaaS platforms.
• Support enterprise networking components (routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, hybrid connectivity) and troubleshoot complex cloud‑network‑identity issues.
• Assist security and compliance initiatives for ISO 27001 and SOC 2, performing audits and remediation.
• Act as a Tier 3 escalation point, conduct root‑cause analysis and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of systems engineering experience across cloud, networking, identity management and SaaS platforms.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 technologies and identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM).
• Proven ability to design, automate and document enterprise‑wide solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.
