Senior Software Engineer II – Remote (Costa Rica)

About the role

GreenSlate is looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to take technical ownership of a core component of its industry‑leading production finance platform. You will work remotely from Costa Rica within a fast‑paced, craft‑focused engineering team that values SOLID principles, test‑driven development, and thoughtful code reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve a critical part of the entertainment finance application.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups with teams in New York, Los Angeles, and Costa Rica.
• Conduct thorough peer code reviews and practice pair programming.
• Design and document architecture for new features before development.
• Develop a responsive single‑page application (SPA) using React and TypeScript, backed by a RESTful .NET API.
• Implement data access with MS SQL, Dapper, and Entity Framework.
• Apply test‑driven development (TDD) and maintain CI pipelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong passion for software craftsmanship and clean code.
• Professional demeanor with a sense of humor.
