Senior Software Engineer – Identity & Trust Infrastructure

About the role

SimSpace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and operate the identity and trust infrastructure that powers its realistic internet simulation platform. You will create and maintain core services that provision digital identities, manage domain controllers, and provide a PKI‑based trust model for simulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a unified persona registration API that provisions digital identities across Active Directory and simulated internet services.
• Build and maintain a Range Domain Controller management service to configure AD domains, users, and group policies on deployed range infrastructure.
• Implement and operate a PKI and certificate authority stack to enable TLS‑based trust for in‑range clients.
• Design robust, fault‑tolerant APIs that handle partial failures gracefully.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate identity services into the broader simulation platform.

Required profile

• Senior‑level software engineering experience with a focus on security‑oriented infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of identity systems and authentication mechanisms.
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate complex API services.
• Experience managing Active Directory environments and PKI deployments.
