Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will lead the reliability engineering capability for a defined area within BCG. You will work across multiple SRE domains—cloud, infrastructure, observability, automation, identity, security, and network operations—to reduce operational toil, improve system resilience, and embed reliability into delivery workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Run and continuously improve reliability engineering systems, including automation pipelines, observability tooling, and operational tooling.
• Design and implement solutions that eliminate operational toil at scale and embed reliability into delivery workflows.
• Shape engineering standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks across the SRE practice.
• Lead engineering response to complex incidents, drive systemic remediation, and contribute to post‑incident learning.
• Mentor and coach less senior engineers on reliability engineering, automation, observability, and SRE principles.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, and operations teams to embed reliability and governance through engineering controls.
• Communicate status, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and leadership forums.

Required profile

• Senior practitioner comfortable operating across multiple technical domains.
• Proven ability to balance delivery with mentorship.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to drive engineering quality and consistency.
