Senior Project Associate – Management & Implementation Support

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to provide management and implementation support for its Integration Programme in Costa Rica. Based in San Jose, the role contributes to the successful integration of migrants who have chosen Costa Rica as their destination.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Integration Programme Coordinator in planning and executing activities that facilitate migrants’ access to legal identity, regular status and basic services.
• Coordinate community‑based interventions in the Great Metropolitan Area, including housing, food, health, mental health, psychosocial and protection services.
• Assist migrants in acquiring Spanish language skills, improving job‑seeking profiles and obtaining certification for previously acquired competencies.
• Monitor integration indicators and ensure that project actions align with IOM’s community‑based approach.
• Collaborate with governmental, intergovernmental and non‑governmental partners to promote humane and orderly migration.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Integration Programme Coordinator in Costa Rica.
• Experience or familiarity with community‑based projects supporting migrant integration.
