Senior Lead Database Administrator

About the role

Datacor is seeking a Senior Lead Database Administrator to partner with product teams, developers, and the Principal Architect. You will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of all database environments while driving modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data lake architectures for analytics and reporting.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain databases across Microsoft Access, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other platforms.
• Maintain an inventory of databases, including ownership, usage, and technology stack.
• Perform routine DBA tasks such as backups, restores, archiving, and schema updates.
• Monitor and tune database performance, optimize queries, and implement indexing strategies.
• Lead migration of legacy Microsoft Access databases to modern platforms (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate with development teams to establish and enforce database query best practices and provide code reviews.
