Senior IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer - Network

About the role

Flat Rock is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer to design, build, and manage the backbone of its global technology environment. You will work across data centers, cloud platforms, and secure networks, ensuring resilience, efficiency, and scalability for worldwide operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise networks, servers, storage, telephony, and related systems.
• Engineer secure, fault‑tolerant solutions across on‑premise, co‑location, and cloud (AWS, Azure) environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to IT and business teams.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Lead infrastructure and application projects, including system migrations and global rollouts.
• Partner with vendors and managed service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Define and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Required skills

• 8+ years of hands‑on engineering with enterprise networks, servers, and storage.
• VMware expertise (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter).
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure (physical and virtual).
• Microsoft Server OS and Active Directory.
• Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
• Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online).
• Scripting/automation for infrastructure management.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, patch management, monitoring tools, and ITIL frameworks.
• Familiarity with Linux (optional).
• Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, Windows Server, networking).
