Senior HR Business Partner – Cartago Manufacturing Site

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner drives the execution of Baxter’s people strategy at the Cartago manufacturing site. Working closely with functional leaders, the role translates business priorities into talent, culture, and organizational initiatives across a complex, multi‑shift operation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to align operational priorities with people strategies, supporting workforce planning, organizational design, and talent deployment.
• Lead talent and leadership development activities, including performance management, career development, succession planning, and coaching of managers.
• Provide employee‑relations guidance, conflict resolution, and ensure compliance with Costa Rica labor law while fostering an inclusive, results‑focused culture.
• Execute HR programs and corporate initiatives, collaborating with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Payroll and Centers of Excellence, and ensure compliance with labor regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• 5+ years of HRBP experience with solid knowledge of employee relations, Costa Rica labor law and talent management; 10 years in HR is preferred.
• English proficiency at B2+ level or higher.
• Experience in medical device, healthcare or life‑sciences manufacturing environments, preferably supporting large hourly populations.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with HR systems such as Workday.
