Senior HR Business Partner – Cartago Manufacturing Site

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner will drive Baxter’s people strategy at the Cartago manufacturing site, partnering with functional leaders to align talent, culture and organizational initiatives with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate operational priorities into people strategies, workforce planning, and organizational design.
• Lead talent management initiatives including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development for a multi‑shift manufacturing environment.
• Provide employee‑relations guidance, conflict resolution, and ensure compliance with Costa Rica labor regulations.
• Execute HR programs and corporate initiatives, collaborating with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Payroll and Centers of Excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner with solid knowledge of employee relations and Costa Rica labor law; 10 years HR experience is preferred.
• Fluent English (B2+); experience in medical‑device or life‑sciences manufacturing is a plus.

Required skills

• Workday HR system.
• Lean and Six Sigma or other continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rica labor legislation.
