Senior Financial Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Financial Business Intelligence (BI) Data Quality Analyst ensures that Equifax's data and reporting are accurate, complete and consistent. The role works with data engineers and data scientists to provide quality assurance for data assets used in new internal reports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement data quality standards and processes, including profiling, reconciliation and analysis to find anomalies and inconsistencies
• Protect the integrity of data used by the Finance BI team and develop formal policies for exception tolerance
• Lead proactive initiatives to improve data completeness and quality
• Investigate, analyse and resolve reported data quality issues, finding root causes and communicating solutions to stakeholders
• Maintain internal processes, tools and documentation to map, prevent and correct data quality issues
• Work with business users, database developers and data engineers to implement continuous improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of experience wrangling, preparing and transforming complex datasets
• 4+ years of experience analysing large, multidimensional datasets with advanced tools such as SQL and Python
• 4+ years of experience applying data governance principles and working in Agile environments
• 4+ years of project management experience and stakeholder relationship management
• English B2

Required skills

• SQL and Python
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• BigQuery or equivalent cloud-based big data platforms
• Preferred: FP&A experience, Python data science libraries, Google Cloud tools (Cloud Composer, Dataproc, Cloud Dataflow), and experience with fintech or credit-decisioning data
