Collections Associate Manager - North America

About the role

Accenture is looking for an experienced Collections Associate Manager to lead Collections operations supporting the North American region. You will oversee collections performance, lead a team of professionals and manage accounts receivable while driving collection targets and operational objectives. This is a hybrid position based in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Collections operations for customers and stakeholders across the North American region.
• Manage and develop a team of at least 10 professionals, giving direction, coaching and performance support.
• Drive collection targets and manage outstanding accounts receivable.
• Monitor operational performance, collection results, account aging and key service metrics.
• Support complex collection cases, customer disputes and escalations, and follow up on outstanding balances and payment arrangements.
• Oversee account reconciliation and support resolution of disputed receivables.
• Partner with Credit, Sales, Billing and Cash Application to address collection risks.
• Take part in client and operational reviews and identify improvements to collections processes.
• Ensure adherence to client policies and procedures, and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end collection periods.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable or Order-to-Cash operations.
• Proven experience managing teams of at least 10 people.
• Strong knowledge of Collections and Accounts Receivable processes, including aging management, reconciliation, payment follow-up and dispute resolution.
• Advanced English proficiency and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in a multinational, shared services or BPO environment, and knowledge of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems; preferred experience with Oracle, SAP or similar platforms.
• Ability to analyze operational information, identify risks and solve complex collection issues in a fast-paced environment.
