Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote, Costa Rica)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help accelerate our migration to a new AWS environment built with Terraform. This remote, six‑month contract will focus on modernizing infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and providing production support for our cloud‑native applications.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Lead releases and deployments, ensuring smooth roll‑outs.
• Provide production support for access issues, outages, security incidents, and system failures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DevOps‑level incidents as the front‑line responder.
• Design, build, and optimize infrastructure using Terraform.
• Collaborate with local engineering teams to guide best practices and support modernization initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, AmazonMQ) and Terraform.
• Deep understanding of server‑side DevOps workflows and modern infrastructure practices.
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
• Good knowledge of .NET and MongoDB.
• Demonstrated incident‑management skills and ability to lead during outages.
• Clear communication and a leadership‑driven mindset.
