Senior Credit Analyst

About the role

Baxter is hiring a Senior Analyst, Credit in La Aurora. The role evaluates the creditworthiness of new customers, reassesses credit terms and limits for existing customers and manually releases orders on hold based on regional approvals. It sits within a multinational healthcare company's shared services function.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new customers using the Credit Integration Solution and C2C Technology toolset
• Monitor changes in existing customer creditworthiness using market-based leading indicators, counterparty exposure changes and alerts from the Credit Integration Solution
• Set up and manage credit limits for existing customers in the region
• Manage the automated credit review process and handle cases requiring manual intervention and approval
• Process online credit applications for new customers in the region
• Evaluate and release orders on hold that were not automatically released
• Monitor and improve credit release and automation rules
• Work with Accounts Receivable specialists, customers and sales or commercial teams on credit matters
• Improve credit reporting accuracy and efficiency with IT and external technology vendors
• Manage bank guarantees, letters of credit, cash collateral and netting agreements where applicable
• Partner with the Credit Team Lead and Credit GPO to standardize and improve credit and risk management processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field (graduated or at least 80% of career completed)
• 3+ years of experience in a shared service center or similar role focused on credit and risk management
• English C1 is a must
• Experience in a SOX-regulated environment
• Portuguese is desirable

Required skills

• Experienced user of Credit Integration Solution or equivalent credit scoring tool and C2C Technology Credit Module
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• JDE and SAP experience preferred
