AI Specialist – External Audit

About the role

PwC is redesigning audit around data and AI, and is looking for an AI specialist to work alongside its external audit teams. You will bring machine learning, generative AI and automation into risk assessment, full-population testing and the support of conclusions. Key responsibilities

• Work with external audit teams from planning through issuance, designing AI-enabled procedures that stand up as evidence.
• Create and implement full-population account analytics, document and contract intelligence, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, process mining, GenAI assistants and agent workflows.
• Ingest, validate and reconcile data from SAP, Oracle, Dynamics and other systems.
• Make AI reliable in a regulated environment through testing, validation, explainability, documentation, human review, privacy, confidentiality and independence.
• Train auditors so AI moves from pilot to routine use.
• Collaborate with PwC's global network to adopt, localize and contribute solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in informatics, engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems or accounting/finance, or equivalent proven experience.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics or AI, with at least 1 to 2 years applied to audit, assurance, internal audit, forensic, financial data or regulated reporting.
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML or GenAI solutions to production, with testing, documentation and adoption.
• Fluent English.
