Senior Credit Analyst

About the role

Baxter is hiring a Senior Analyst, Credit, responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of new customers and assessing their potential risks, reassessing credit terms and limits for existing customers, and manually releasing orders on hold based on approved regional criteria. The role works within a multinational healthcare organization.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new customers using the Credit Integration Solution and C2C Technology toolset
• Monitor changes in existing customer creditworthiness using market-based leading indicators, counterparty exposure changes and alerts from Credit Integration Solution
• Set up and manage credit limits for existing customers within the region
• Manage the automated credit review process and handle cases requiring manual intervention and approvals
• Process online credit applications for new customers in the region
• Evaluate and release orders on hold that were not automatically released, and continuously improve automation criteria
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable specialists, communicate proactively with customers about credit requirements, and liaise with Sales or other commercial teams on credit requests
• Improve credit reporting accuracy and efficiency with IT and external technology vendors
• Manage bank guarantees, letters of credit, cash collateral and netting agreements where applicable
• Work with the Credit Team Lead and Credit GPO to standardize and improve credit and risk management processes, and stay current with global credit standards and technology

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field (graduated or at least 80% of career completed)
• 3+ years of experience in a shared service center or similar role focused on credit and risk management
• English C1 is a must
• Experience in a SOX-regulated environment
• Portuguese is desirable

Required skills

• Experienced user of Credit Integration Solution or an equivalent credit scoring tool and C2C Technology Credit Module
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• JDE and SAP experience preferred
