Senior Consultant, Data Science & Analytics

About the role

TransUnion is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the design and delivery of advanced machine learning and analytics solutions. This remote position works closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into scalable, high‑impact outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex ML and AI initiatives, from problem definition through production implementation and continuous improvement.
• Establish technical standards, reusable best practices, and solution‑design approaches to improve quality, scalability, and performance.
• Provide technical direction across multiple projects, mentor team members, and contribute to hiring efforts.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to align solutions with priorities and drive cross‑functional execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, including leading complex initiatives.
• Proven ability to translate business challenges into analytical solutions and communicate recommendations to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and solution development.
• Experience with BigQuery and modern machine‑learning ecosystems.
• Experience building scalable, production‑grade ML solutions on cloud‑based AI and data platforms.
