About the role
Deel is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale its all‑in‑one payroll and HR platform. You will work on core services that power a global workforce, ensuring reliability, performance, and security for millions of users worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and QA to deliver seamless, customer‑centric features.
- Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment, influencing the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs and backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs quickly, maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Continuously improve existing systems and contribute to architectural decisions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of SQL databases and ability to write efficient queries.
- Experience with at least one additional server‑side language is a plus.
- Track record of delivering high‑impact features in a fast‑moving SaaS environment.
