About the role

Coforge is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a cloud‑native environment. The role is fully remote and focuses on Java and Python microservices that run on Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and on‑premise platforms.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Python.
Build, containerize, and deploy applications with Docker, Kubernetes (K8S/K3S), and Helm.
Create and optimize RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and database integrations.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and improve platform stability, security, and performance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment, providing mentorship and technical guidance.

Required profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of backend software engineering experience delivering enterprise or cloud‑native applications.
Strong hands‑on experience with Java and Python development.
Proven expertise in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
