Senior Application Architect (.NET/C#) – Remote (Colombia or Costa Rica)

About the role

The Senior Application Architect will lead the design and modernization of enterprise applications for a remote team based in Colombia or Costa Rica. You will combine deep .NET development expertise with architectural vision to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions that align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality code that meets sprint commitments and enterprise standards.
• Lead migration of legacy .NET 3.5 applications to .NET Core and break monoliths into micro‑services.
• Design robust, highly available systems and ensure security‑first principles are applied.
• Create architectural diagrams, roadmaps, and present decisions to engineering and business stakeholders.
• Write advanced SQL queries, optimize database performance, and refactor business logic out of stored procedures.
• Deploy solutions on Microsoft Azure, build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy, and apply DevOps best practices.
• Develop backend services with C#/.NET and support modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Mentor junior engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with .NET, C#, and modern cloud architectures.
• Proven ability to lead technical modernization projects and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to code quality, performance, and security.
