Senior AI Platform Operations Engineer

About the role

Teradyne, a global test and automation specialist, is looking for a Senior AI Platform Operations Engineer in Costa Rica. The role operates, secures, automates and continuously improves the enterprise AI platforms and services, working closely with AI Platform Architects, AI Developers, Security, Infrastructure and Collaboration teams. It is distinct from the AI Platform Architect, who defines strategy, architecture, standards and governance; the Operations Engineer implements, runs, monitors and improves the environments and services that bring those designs into production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate enterprise AI platforms and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure across development, test and production, and own run-books, on-call rotations and the support model for production services
• Support Azure AI Foundry (hubs, projects, model catalogs, agents, deployments, capacity and quotas) and Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, vector and RAG patterns
• Operate core Azure dependencies such as VNets, Private Endpoints, VPN, Private DNS, Key Vault, storage, data services and monitoring integrations
• Accept production handoff of ML/AI solutions from the Senior ML/AI Engineer and coordinate support across I&O, Security, Collaboration, Data and application teams
• Implement observability, alerting, logging and dashboards with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights, and automate operations with PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and GitOps
• Own MLOps and LLMOps operations (registry promotion, retraining, drift remediation) and production operations for agentic AI services
• Implement security controls (identity, access, RBAC, conditional access, audit support) and support compliance reviews and audits
• Enable AI developers and builders with onboarding, troubleshooting, environment setup and operational handoff

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Operations or related disciplines
• Hands-on experience operating Microsoft Azure enterprise environments and supporting production workloads
