Senior AI Automation Engineer - Infrastructure as Code

About the role

A global IT organization driving enterprise-wide automation and AI transformation is looking for an experienced Senior AI Automation Engineer focused on Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The role designs, develops and implements AI-powered automation solutions, IaC frameworks and DevOps practices to improve efficiency, scalability and reliability across global infrastructure environments. It is a remote position with a contract duration of 11 months.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation solutions using AI, AI agents and Infrastructure as Code.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployments, monitoring and operational processes.
• Build scripts and applications in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, YAML and JSON.
• Manage automation with Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps and OpenShift.
• Implement AI solutions with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Agent Builder and Azure AI Foundry.
• Work with Infrastructure, Security, Networking and Application teams to find automation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance and operational best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on automation and DevOps.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise IT, Infrastructure Automation, Software Development or DevOps.
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on automation development in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Golang or Bash.
• Cloud and hybrid-cloud experience with Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with AI engineering, AI agent development, Copilot Studio or Azure AI Foundry.
• DevOps, CI/CD, Agile and SDLC knowledge; enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or FreshService.
• Preferred: Azure, Terraform, Ansible, DevOps or AI certifications, ITIL certification, large-scale global environment support.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
