Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst

About the role

Citi is looking for a Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst to contribute to the directional strategy and help create and modify the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, the Data Risk and Control Framework and the Data Risk Taxonomy. The role focuses on one or more areas such as identifying, measuring and reporting; data policy adoption and compliance; data controls framework performance and issue management; and regulatory and audit response tracking. It suits someone dynamic and flexible who can handle ambiguity and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with multiple teams to implement Data Governance policies and the Data Risk and Control framework
• Provide expertise on the framework, including its design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment
• Oversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking ownership, target dates, metrics and reporting
• Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on the rollout of the enterprise Data Governance strategy, including the new risk taxonomy and changes to key risk indicators and controls
• Gather and synthesise metrics on existing principles, policies, practices and standards, and understand industry best practice
• Produce recommendations and prioritise the development of new enterprise-wide principles, policies and practices
• Develop and manage the approach to measuring adoption of those principles, policies and practices

Required profile

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Process Engineering or a related area
• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
• Advanced understanding of project management methodologies and tools
• Ability to monitor tight deadlines and changing requirements while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Effective communication skills to tailor messages to different audiences

The work is office-based with minimal travel; prolonged concentration at a computer is required. The position is full time.
